One of the most crucial features of Clade works is concentration on applied arts. This feature displays distinct dimensions of her other performance capacities. Melina’s approach to applied arts such as fashion design and design based on imaginary characters and theatrical actions creates an interdisciplinary climate for Iran’s fashion design. From viewpoint of modernist designers, this approach significantly highlights their works. Melina creates unconventional images and conditions for fashion design and therefore introduces absolutely applied production to art. This movement is very crucial. Indeed, fashions and their designs play significant role same as appearance of models (persons working for modelling). Stimulation of audience into distinct observations and thoughts about fashion types and more importantly creation of images during production-to-consumption process and selection conditions are of prominent components of Clade’s fashion design.

On the other hand, in Ecole Collection, Melina utilizes her artistic experiences of fashion design for her own specified area of activity. Attention to status of designers and creation of new viewpoints concerning her own-era fashions are her other prominent features. This viewpoint is always a contradiction with the related historical context of Iran. Fashion design and fashion culture always play a significant role in cultural history of Iran’s community and Melina having awareness about this history attempts to create new experiences and imaginal culture same as communities concentrating on modern designs and employs a particular method in this regard. Unexpected cases such as a stylish girl suspended between ground and sky, a tired girl on a noble sofa, a doll-like figure under the stairs, a woman imprisoned by the concrete walls, a troubled pale face in the toilet, a figure standing straight to the back of camera with her/his face near to the wall, and a woman crawling on the ground with knees bent on the wall all are unexpected and unconventional cases for the fashion design audience. Melina pursues this trend as the main feature of her works.

The created image of Ecole attaches profound significance to designers’ production and indeed introduces an applied production from multi-dimensions or on the other words creation of more details for quality and entity of fashion concerning purely applied objects, and introduction of fashion in socio-artistic context. In ECole, Melina has a specified viewpoint for owning commercial productions and/or other applied productions (e.g. drinking bottles, a noble sofa and/or an industrial-technological device) during her creation process from her own viewpoint. This feature is rooted in her introverted actions and perhaps primarily results from her poetic mood.
